What you need to know when ordering a timing pulley
Timing pulley is a mechanical transmission device used to transmit power and rotational force. The timing pulley transmission transmits motion through the meshing of the teeth on the timing belt and the corresponding tooth grooves on the timing pulley. Timing pulley are widely used in various mechanical equipment. Many customers are confused about what parameters to provide when ordering timing pulleys. The following describes the necessary parameters that must be provided when ordering Barbieri timing pulley.
1. Timing pulley material: aluminum alloy, 45# steel, etc.
The material of the timing pulley is a key parameter in the customization of the timing pulley, which directly affects the service life and transmission performance. Choosing the appropriate material according to the use environment and needs can improve the reliability and durability of the timing pulley.
2. Timing pulley tooth shape and number of teeth:
Standard tooth meshing clearance teeth L, H, XL, XH, T5, T10, T20, AT5, AT10, AT20, HTD5M, HTD8M, HTD14M; reduced meshing clearance: HTD8M
Zero distance tooth meshing clearance: (please consult our technical department if necessary)
3. Surface treatment: 45# steel generally requires blackening, galvanizing, and nickel plating; aluminum alloy: generally requires oxidation.
4. Timing pulley processing method: whether it has keyway, retaining ring, self-tracking guide rail, relief hole, screw hole, etc.
In the absence of special requirements, timing pulleys all have certain standard related technical parameters. The standards for producing timing pulleys are set based on the technical parameters.
For example, the parameters of 8M timing pulleys:
